"How the beef started": T-Pain über Probleme mit Future

In einem Podcast-Interview gegenüber Drink Champs habe sich T-Pain laut HotNewHipHop zu seinem Rap-Kollegen Future geäußert. Die beiden Rapper schienen in der Vergangenheit Unstimmigkeiten miteinander gehabt zu haben: „He also opens up about his previous ‚problems‘ with Future, confirming that the whole situation was blown out of proportion. ‚My problem with Future was never a problem,‘ explains T-Pain. ‚It was Khaled’s problem“.

Aus TPains Aussage geht hervor, dass auch DJ Khaled mit in die Auseinandersetzung verwickelt gewesen sei: „When they put out ‚I Woke Up In A New Bugatti,‘ they had posted my Bugatti in their shit. You know what it was like? When your homeboy got a Tinder date in the apartment, and your homeboy got on your shirt that you use for Tinder Dates. If you going on a date, and you ask your homeboy if you can borrow his shirt,‘ continues Pain, taking his analogy to the next level. ‚And your homeboy shows up to the date and says ’nice shirt, looks real fuckin‘ familiar.‘ That’s how the whole Future beef started“. T-Pain habe ein Problem damit gehabt, dass bei dem Videodreh zu „I Woke Up In A New Bugatti“ sein Fahrzeug benutzt worden wäre, ohne dass er dafür Anerkennung bekommen hätte. Nachdem er Future damit konfrontiert habe, hätte sich auch DJ Khaled in den Diskurs der beiden eingeschaltet: „T-Pain explains that he made somewhat of a scene, upset that his Bugatti ownership wasn’t given due credit. The outburst led DJ Khaled to intervene, who managed to make Pain see the error of his ways“.
