French Montana hat vor kurzem einen Vertrag bei Bad Boy Records unterschrieben und wird in Zukunft über P. Diddy’s Label releasen. Der Bronx Rapper hatte offenbar mehrere Labelangebote vor sich liegen und war eine Zeit lang auch bei Rick Ross‚ Maybach Music im Gespräch:
„I love MMG. If I wasn’t going with Bad Boy, I definitely would have gone with MMG. That’s why I had to make Ross executive producer on my album. Me and him got the same vibe. He’s definitely been involved with everything I’ve been doing, giving me some good advice, and helping me out. You always need a mentor.“
French Montana war ursprünglich bei Akon’s Konvict Muzik beheimatet, doch hat das Label 2011 verlassen.
