Bay Legende E-40 wird am 25. November 2008 sein mittlerweile zehntes Soloalbum „The Ball Street Journal“ auf den Markt bringen. Für seinen aktuellen Tonträger konnte der Rapper einige hochkarätige Gäste gewinnen: so werden u.a. Bun B, Shawty Lo, Akon, T-Pain, Too Short und Gucci Mane Gastparts abliefern. Zudem konnte E-40 auf einem von J.R. produziertem Track sowohl Snoop Dogg als auch The Game zusammenführen:
„I got a West Coast classic that I think they’re gonna fuck with real tough,“ he added. „Me and Snoop [Dogg] and Game finally came together and did a song produced by J.R. Rotem. It’s a smacker.“
E-40 letztes Album „My Ghetto Report Card“ erschien 2006 und hat mittlerweile Goldstatus erreicht.
