Jedenfalls scheinen Eminem und Interscope grünes Licht zu geben: „[Eminem] came out to L.A. and we all sat down and listened to the album, we just listened to it. Then we played the record for execs at Interscope and they said, ‚This is what people need to hear.'“
Für Statlanta hat Stat Quo unter anderem mit Dr. Dre zusammengearbeitet, der auf ‚The Way Shit Be‘ den Beat stellt und zudem neben Scarface einen Gastpart bringt. Auch den Song ‚Fire‘ mit Bilal als Gast hat der Doktor produziert. Eminem hat auch bei mehreren Tracks Hand angelegt unter anderem bei einem Doublesong ohne Hook namens ‚Testify/The Next One‘.
Thematisch versucht der Rapper aus Atlanta sich mit ernsteren Themen zu beschäftigen. Party Tracks soll es nur vereinzelt geben, so zum Beispiel auf der Single ‚Here We Go'(produziert von Dr. Dre)und auf ‚G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised In The South)‘.
Stat Quo’s Ansichten zu guten Alben lauten schließlich wie folgt: „I’m trying to change the game — [or at least] put some action into it. You always hear rappers talking about ‚hip-hop is dead‘ or ‚hip-hop is wack,‘ then their album comes out and they only have one good song on there. How are you contributing? If you gonna talk about it, then do something about it. That’s what’s cool with working with Em and Dre: They’re about setting precedents and taking this rap shit to a whole ’nother level.“.
