Die selbsternannte „Baddest Bitch“ Trina veröffentlicht am 25. September ihr neues Album „Baddest Bitch II“ über Slip-N-Side Records/EMI. Für das Album hat sich die Rapperin laut eigener Aussage stark ins Zeug gelegt:
„I put 150 percent into this album. I’m stepping my game up like 10 notches. I have a thousand different emotions and feelings and I show it all in this project. I didn’t want to be sad, just happy and high spirited, so people can see Trina really grew up.“
Auf „Baddest Bitch II“ werden unter anderem Produktionen von Cool & Dre, Red Spyda, The Runners und Scott Storch zu hören sein. Features kommen von Rick Ross, Trick Daddy und Plies. Auch werden andere Female MC’s Gastparts beisteuern, wobei Trina noch keine Namen verraten will:
„I’ve got a few female features that I can’t talk about,but it’s going to be great.“
Die erste Singleauskopplung aus dem Album heißt ‚I’m Single Again‘. Als mögliche zweite Single wird derzeit ‚I Wish I Never Met You‘ gehandelt.
Zu ihrem Labelwechsel von Atlantic Records zu EMI hat Trina folgendes zu sagen:
„We didn’t share the same vision anymore and I just wanted to go out there and do it on my own. But I love everyone at Atlantic and have no bad blood between me and the label.“
