Ein Highlight der jährlichen Award Show des TV-Senders BET sind immer wieder die Cypher-Runden, in denen bekannte und weniger bekannte MCs ihr Können über klassische Drum-Breaks unter Beweis stellen. Am Wochenende fand die Aufzeichnung der von Snoop Dogg gehosteten BET Awards 2013 statt (Ausstrahlung am 15. Oktober) und im Zuge dessen wurden auch die Line-Ups für die verschiedenen Cypher-Runden bekannt.
Während im Vorfeld bereits offenkundig wurde, dass es sowohl eine reine Slaughterhouse– als auch eine reine TDE-Runde geben werde, ist nun auch sicher, dass auch der A$AP Mob seine eigene Cypher bestreiten wird. Darüber hinaus wird es drei gemischte Runden geben und eine die hauptsächlich aus Comedians bestehen wird.
