Jay -Z scheint immer noch verärgert über Lil Wayne’s „I’m Better Than Jay Z„ Aussagen zu sein. Jedenfalls wird gerade darüber diskutiert, ob Jigga’s Part auf T.I.’s ‚Watch What You Say‘ in Richtung Lil Weezy gemünzt ist. Dabei nimmt Jay zwar nicht Waynes’s Namen in den Mund, doch sollen einige Lines gegen den Cash Money Rapper gerichtet sein:
„I hear you baiting me lately / I’ve been doing my best just to stay hater free / Still… watch what you say to me / Sooner or later I take you up on your offering / Put you all in your place / Like I’m replacing your father / You’re talking to the author / The architect of the Blueprint/ MY DNA IN YOUR MUSIC / Motherfuckin’… watch what you say to me.“
President Carter ist also anscheinend nachtragend. Ob dies der Anfang eines Beefs ist?
Jim Jones hat sich nochmals zu den Problemen innerhalb des Dipsetclans und seinen Streit mit Cam’ron geäußert und natürlich die Fans beschwichtigt:
„Let?s just say, brothers fight, mothers and sons fight, husband and wife fight, there?s some family things going on, ya dig. It?s still Dipset by all means, don?t nobody get that twisted. We entitled to feud.“
Trotz allem scheint es Probleme zwischen dem Capo und Cam zu geben, die sich laut Jones aber nicht auf das Dipsetmovement auswirken sollen:
„Everything is fine, everything is straight. As far as what me and Cam got going on, that?s a little bit more personal than anything. That doesn?t reflect on our movement, doesn?t reflect on our business. Business is always business, at the end of the day. Die Sache mit Cam’ron und Jim Jones scheint ernst zu sein. Wie hat Cam doch gesagt: „It’s gonna be a hot summer.“
