DJ Kay Slay wird am 13. Oktober 2009 das Album „More Than Just A DJ“ veröffentlichen. Für sein Solowerk konnte der New Yorker Radiomoderator einige große Namen gewinnen: so wird es Features von 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Plies, Jim Jones, Cam’Ron, Bun B, Drake, Juelz Santana, OJ Da Juiceman und Joell Ortiz geben. Als erste Single wird der Track ‚Blockstars‘ releast, auf dem Busta Rhymes, Jim Jones und Plies vertreten sein werden. Die zweite Single soll ‚Thug Luv‘ werden inklusive Parts von Papoose, Maino, Ray J und Red Cafe.
