Jim Jones und seine Gruppe Byrdgang werden morgen (1. Juli 2008) das Album „M.O.B.“ über Asylum Records veröffentlichen. Die Gruppe besteht aus Jones, Mel Matrix, NOE, Freekey Zekey, Sandman, Oshy und dem Producer Chink Santana. Die erste Single ‚S.p.l.a.s.h.‘ featuret Juelz Santana.
Weiterhin plant Jim Jones für September den Release seines nächsten noch unbetitelten Soloalbums, welches über Capitol Records erscheinen wird. Beats wurden bisher von Rick Rubin, Chink Santana, No I.D., Chris Styles, Ron Browz und Supa Dave gepickt. In Hinblick auf sein neues Album und die momentanen Verkaufszahlen sagt der Dipset Capo Folgendes:
„You’ve got Wayne selling 1 million units and that shows that people are ready to spend money on good music. If you’re not special, they won’t be impressed to go into the store and buy into your lifestyle. That’s why they don’t have your record in their house and they pull that shit off the Internet.“
Als Feature wurde bereits Juelz Santana bestätigt, während Cam’Ron auf dem Album nicht vertreten sein wird. Den als erste Single gehandelten Track ‚Good Shit‘ gibt es auf Jim Jones‘ Myspace Seite zu hören.
