Das 50 Cent Drama rund um sein Verhältnis mit Interscope Records geht in die nächste Runde und mal wieder muss Twitter als Fiddy’s persönlicher Kummerkasten herhalten. Interscope Records hat sich nun entschieden die neue 50 Cent Single ‚Girls Gone Wild‘ (feat. Jeremih) gegen 50 Cent’s Willen zu promoten, was für diesen einen weiteren Tiefschlag ungeahnten Ausmaßes bedeutet.
Während Fiddy vor einiger Zeit in seiner lakonischen Art wohl mit einem einfachen „Fuck Jimmy Iovine“ reagiert hätte, scheint ihn der neue Alleingang seines Labels an die Nieren zu gehen. In ungewohnt frustrierter, ja fast desillusionierter Art und Weise breitet er sein Innenleben auf seinem Twitter Account aus (wo auch sonst?):
„I have lost all the faith in the team I?m on. I having nothing left to say I will not be promoting my music.“
Es hat den Anschein, dass der ehemalige Platin Artist langsam bemerkt, dass das Label bei ausbleibendem Erfolg ( und 50 Cent’s letzte Projekte wie „Before I Self-Destruct“ oder „Terminate On Sight“ mit der G-Unit waren eben verkaufstechnische Flops) eben nicht mehr auf die Wünsche seines Künstlers achtet und ihn notfalls einfach übergeht. Verwunderlich ist nur, dass der sonst so streitfreudige Curtis Jackson so mitgenommen wirkt. Die Tatsache, dass er mittlerweile in die Mühlen der Industrie geraten ist, führt ihn sogar dazu folgendes Statement vom Stapel zu lassen:
„Ill be honest I don?t think I?m gonna live much longer“.
Eine solch emotionalen Seelenstriptease hätte man von einem 50 Cent wohl eher nicht erwartet, wobei man beim Medienprofi 50 nie weiß, was er nun ernst meint, und was nur eine bloße Provokation darstellt um am Ende wieder ins Gespräch zu kommen. Sieht nach schweren Zeiten für 50 Cent aus. Hoffentlich ist sein Darling Tony Yayo in der Nähe und hält seinem Boss in dieser miesen Phase das Händchen.
